TCU football captains expect to build off last season's state run

The same blue and black jerseys will take the football field on Fridays this fall, but there will be plenty of new faces looking for playing time.

Despite the relatively young team, three of Tri-City United’s returning starters have high expectations for the upcoming season.

Last year the Titans had its best football season ever, finishing with a 10-2 record and a trip to the state semifinals. TCU had 22 players graduate from last year’s team, but returning seniors and captains Mason Rutt, Jordan Simonette and John Lindblom expect the Titans to compete for another district title.
